At Oaklands we offer Level 3 Programme of Study with opportunity for students to resit one of GCSE English or Maths if required.
Our Programme of study is a mix of academic and vocational qualifications:
A Levels - traditional, tried and tested gold standard qualifications.
AAQs - Alternative Academic Qualifications, new qualifications equivalent to 1 A level that are assessed via a mixture of exam and controlled assessment/coursework, graded as Distinction*, Distinction, Merit and Pass, they carry UCAS points equivalent to A level grades A*, A, C & E.
They have mix of academic content with application of theory to practice.
BTEC - Vocational qualifications worth 3 A Levels
Pathways
Our programmes of study are organised into pathways

| 3 | AAQs | 3 AAQ subjects with the opportunity to resit GCSE English or Maths. |
| 4 | BTEC |
Extended diploma with the opportunity to resit GCSE English or Maths. |
Access to study on a particular pathway is based on entry criteria.

Subjects & Timetabled Curriculum
At Oaklands we organise our curriculum in blocks in order to timetable, therefore subject choices can only be made by looking at the timetable blocks.
Subjects in the same blocks cannot be chosen together as they are taught at the same time - more information on this can be found on our application page.

Remember A Levels and AAQs can be chosen in combination but the blocking principle above applies.
French/Spanish can be chosen and applied to any block.
