Made in The East: Poems By A New Generation

We are delighted to celebrate the launch of Write Where We Stand: Poems by a New Generation, published as part of the Made in the East End Project.

Students from Mulberry Academy Shoreditch and Oaklands School have spent recent months working closely with acclaimed poets Shareefa Energy and Dr Nick Makoha to create a collection of original poems inspired by the rich literary heritage of the East End. Through workshops, discussion, and creative exploration, the students have produced thoughtful and powerful work that reflects the voices, experiences, and perspectives of a new generation.

We are incredibly proud of all the young people involved in the project. Their creativity, confidence, and talent shine throughout the anthology, and their poems are a wonderful contribution to the continuing story of East End writing.
