Oakland's production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream"

Congratulations to the talented cast of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' who delivered 5 successful performances in one week. The cast consisted of students across year 7 - 10 who worked incredibly hard to bring the characters, the story and the challenging language of Shakespeare to life. Students had been rehearsing for months, with rehearsals taking place during lunch times and after school. Cast members demonstrated excellent commitment and collaboration to the performance.

"Performing Shakespeare is no easy task and to see our students rise to the challenge was incredibly rewarding. There is something to be said about the way they understood the complexity of the language, communicated a story and entertained an audience with great theatricality"

"I connected with the character's emotions and his situation. Shakespeare shows us life differently. If you want a play that is complicated but interesting, try a Shakespeare Play"
