Year 11 Intervention

 

All pupils in Year 11 are now earnestly preparing for their upcoming GCSEs which are only a few months away.  In some subjects, they have already started!

At Oaklands School, students are offered a tailored programme of intervention lessons across all subjects at KS4.

There are some intervention sessions which take place every day, open to all students, during the school week and begin at 15:20.  The purpose of these sessions is to support students with a focus on exam skills and practice as well as revisiting key content where pupils may require further improvement.  Some specific sessions are led by the subject teacher, tailored to meet the needs of the students who may have specific gaps in their knowledge, need to refine particular skills. These are all done through high quality teaching.  Most of the sessions are an hour, unless otherwise stated by the teacher.
